Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support our talented marketing team in scaling Royal Match worldwide! Joining our London team in a brand new Marketing Analytics team, you will have the opportunity to drive our measurement, modelling and analytics strategy for one of the world's biggest global User Acquisition players. Working very closely with Product, Finance and Marketing teams to build strong marketing analytics tools & frameworks such as customer predictive models, A/B testing design, incrementally testing, player onboarding and lifecycle design and commercial budget recommendation tools for our media channels.

Responsibilities

  • Building & maintaining statistical models and analytic frameworks that allow us to invest in marketing more effectively 
  • Creating, owning and improving lifetime value forecasting for our UA channels, ensuring we remain strategic in our investments 
  • Reporting the performance & effectiveness of our marketing initiatives, making recommendations for continuous programmes 
  • Translating business needs into actionable models and data products that will empower our media buying team 
  • Developing analytical strategies, designing and running experiments to answer complex business questions, both systematically and on a one-off basis 
  • Helping us stay ahead of a rapidly changing industry, including on topics such as SKAN 4.0, Google Privacy Sandbox & ML-Driven MMM 
  • Supporting our UA and finance teams in understanding the elasticity of our media investment, long-term impact on revenue & model different investment scenarios & returns
  • Strategically driving our understanding of our new user journey, identifying optimisation processes with an aim of increasing the scalability of our marketing approaches 
  • Working with central data & engineering teams to ensure our data is precisely specified, understood and consistent 
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, user acquisition, brand marketing & PR, to ensure a consistent understanding of the impact our marketing efforts are driving 

Requirements

  • Significant experience in data science or analytics roles, ideally supporting a marketing function for a number of years 
  • The ability to write complex SQL queries to work effectively with cloud relational database systems (e.g., Google BigQuery) 
  • Proficient in statistical programming languages (Python preferred)
  • Strong understanding of statistical techniques and their application in different circumstances 
  • Proficient in visualising complex data in a clear and unambiguous manner
  • Knowledge of digital marketing & advertising technology ecosystem 
  • A passion for working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines 
  • A knack for finding the right questions and answering them with sound data & analysis 
  • Degree in CS, maths, statistics, business or economics 
  • Experience in predictive modelling, ideally within a gaming and/or marketing environment (can be through internships, research projects, or other work experience) 
  • Proven business acumen with strategic and analytical capabilities, with experience using data to help drive strategy and business decisions 
  • A genuine interest in the entertainment or gaming industries
